Chesley Beck (August 16, 1938 – August 2, 2013) It is with great sadness the family of Chesley Beck announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on August 2, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Leaving to mourn wife Shirley; son Tony (Jackie) of Nova Scotia and Verlie Smith (Bill) of Burin; grandchildren Holly Labour and Robert Beck; great grandchildren Peter John, Savannah and Jackson; sister Ella Pike (Eli) and brothers Cecil Beck (Roxanne), Jack Beck (Annie) and Ray Beck (Mary) plus a large circle of other family and friends. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Friday, August 2 from 7-9 PM family only, Saturday and Sunday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service to take place Monday, August 5th at 2 PM from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Burin with interment following at Anglican Cemetery, Hodder's Point. No flowers by request. Predeceased by parents; brothers Onslow and Harold; daughter Bella Cox. Leaving to mourn: wife Susannah, life partner of 67 years; children: Selina (Alfred) Sutlick; Phoebe (William) Cox; Rita (Raymond) Abbott; Henry (Brenda) Blagdon; Clyde(Paula)Blagdon; Marjorie (Wayne) Forsey; son-in-law Garfield Cox; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Neal Buffett from St. Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank at 2 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2013. Interment followed at St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Velma Stewart. Pall Bearers were: Andy Cox, Trevor Abbott, Todd Cox, Justin Cluett, Tony Cox, Dwayne Abbott.
