Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Margaret and two sisters Evelyn Mansfield and Teresa Lahey. He is survived by his brother Cyril Fitzgerald, sisters Doris Dalton, Winnie Ross and Angela McLean. He is survived by many nieces and nephews especially Andrea, Bill, Danette and his grand-nephew William. The family thanks the staff of St. Andrew's Terrace for their care and support, especially Michelle, Josephine and Kim. At Dan's request, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, 10 St. Gregory's Drive, Cambridge, on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
