MAUDE V. MYLES (1925-2013) It is with great sadness that the family of the late MAUDE MYLES of St. Bernard’s, announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the age of 87. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: sons Leo (Kate) of St. Bernard’s, Jerome Jr. of St. John’s, Michael (Kim) of St. Bernard’s, Harold (Debbie) of St. Bernard’s and Leroy (Nicole Ross) of St. John’s; daughters Maureen (Elroy Grandy) of Garnish, Angela (Bernard Ducey) of Marystown, Florence (Carter Baker) of St. Bernard’s, Rita (Jack Smith) of Merrickville, ON, Shirley (Glen Mitchener) of Blenheim, ON, Theresa (Gerry Whiffen) of Rushoon and Marion Myles Whiffen (Tony Whiffen) of Rushoon; 32 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Leo and Aloysius Mary McCarthy; husband Jerome; son Patrick Myles; granddaughter Kimberley Ann Myles; great-granddaughter Anika Clarke; brother Leo Hickey; foster parents Frances and Michael McCarthy. Resting and visitation will take place from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, St. Bernard’s, on Saturday, October 5th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 6th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Vigil Service will take place on Sunday, October 6th, at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, October 7th, at 1:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Maude’s memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, 685 Water St., P.O.
