The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, October 21, 2013 Louise O'Connell(July 22, 1915 - October 18, 2013) O’Connell (Moulton), Mary Louise Age 98, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully October 18, 2013 in Parkland at the Lakes nursing home. Born July 22, 1915 in Burgeo Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late William Herbert (of Carbonear) and Mary Catherine (Greene, of St John’s) Moulton. She was predeceased by her sister Catherine (‘Babs’ La Fave) and brothers Randall, Gordon, Sydney and George (‘Bert’). She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard; son Stephen (Annette), Calgary; grandchildren Jessica and Elizabeth, Calgary, and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise moved with her parents from Burgeo to North Sydney as a young child. After graduating from St. Joseph’s High School, where she won the award for highest academic achievement, she moved to Halifax and attended Miss Murphy’s Business college. During WWII, she worked for the Defense Department in the mobilization unit in Halifax and St. John. During that time, she met her future husband, Dick. Following the war, she worked at Canada Revenue Agency for many years. After retirement from CRA, she worked at the Girl Guides store in Halifax. She was a faithful member of St Paul’s parish for 60 years. Her grand children were a tremendous joy in her life. Visitation will be held Monday October 21 from 7 – 9 PM in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St. Funeral mass will be held at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 197 Windmill Road, Dartmouth on Tuesday October 22 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
