The Cape Breton Post, November 11, 2013 Gilbert Anderson Born In: Burgeo, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada Passed in: Louisbourg, Canada on: November 8th, 2013 It is with deep sadness, and broken hearts that we the family of Gilbert Anderson announce his sudden passing, at home, on Nov. 8, 2013. Born in Burgeo, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late William and Naomi Anderson. Gilbert is survived by his loving wife, Eileen (Baker); sister, Mildred (Victor); brother, Philip (Audrey); mother-in-law, Wilma Baker; brothers-in-law, Brent (Joanne), Charlie (Berniece) and Douglas Carter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Piney and Hilda, and father-in-law, Philip Baker. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Nov. 13, 2013, at the First United Church, Louisbourg, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Emily Duggan officiating. Interment to follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
