Lottie Blanch Matthews (July 16, 1921 – November 8, 2013) Passed peacefully away at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, St. John's, on Friday, November 8, 2013, Lottie Blanch Matthews of Grand Bank, aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband Percy Matthews; daughter Carolyn; parents, William and Caroline Brushett; brothers, James and Frederick Brushett; and by sister Lillian Fergueson. Leaving to mourn daughters: Janice (Charles) Moores, St. John's, and Mildred Cheverie, Dartmouth. NS; grandchildren: Brad (Noreen) Cheverie, Amanda Cheverie, Dartmouth, NS, and Jennifer (Michael) Faber, Cambridge, ON; great-grandson Trenton Faber, Cambridge, ON; sister Pearl Hatrield, Burin; and sister-in-law Anna Brushett, Antigonish, NS. Also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank, with visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, November 11th. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, November 12th, at 1:00 pm at Grand Bank United Church with a reception to follow. Interment to take place at the United Church Cemetery, Collins Cove, Burin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, St. John's. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home Grand Bank.
