Edison Walter Strickland (April 19, 1932 – November 6, 2013) Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Wednesday November 6, 2013, Edison W. Strickland of Fortune, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents. Leaving to mourn wife Shirley, daughter Tina, son Richard, and stepchildren, Diane, Ann Marie, Rochelle, George, Dennis, & Glenda. He will also be missed by a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Public visitation and Memorial service to be announced at a later date. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband Robert of 35 years; daughters Vanessa Farewell (Colin) of Red Harbour, Lacey Lake (Shamus) of South East Bight and Danielle Whiffen (Fred Snelgrove) of St. John’s; 4 grandchildren Jenna and Abigail Farewell and Chloe and Kiera Lake; brothers, sisters and their families; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
