ELSIE EVELYN EDWARDS (1936-2013) It is with great sadness that the family of the late ELSIE EDWARDS of St. Lawrence announces her passing at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre in St. Lawrence, at the age of 77. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons Morgan Edwards (Dallas) of Houston, BC and John Edwards of St. John’s, daughters Emma Edwards (Holgar Beck) of Little Bay, Green Bay and Tracey Slaney (Wade) of St. Lawrence, sister-in-law Neila Harris of Mackenzie, BC., brothers Frank (Leah) Harris of Mackenzie, BC, Charles (Theresa) Harris of St. Patrick’s, Dermot (Thomasina) Harris of Scarborough, ON, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Augustus Edwards, daughter Evelyn Edwards, son Charlie Edwards and brother Bob Harris. Resting and visitation will take place from St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church in St. Lawrence on Friday, December 13, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 15, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at Mount Margaret Manor on Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 16, at 1:00 p.m. from St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Mount Cecilia R.C. Cemetery in St. Lawrence. In Elsie’s memory donations may be made to Sandra’s Garden, C/O 3L Training and Employment, Box 308, St. Lawrence, NL A0E 2V0, or flowers gratefully accepted.
