The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, December 31, 2013 Mary ''Ivy'' Stoddart(March 18, 1957 - December 26, 2013) STODDART, Mary “Ivy” – 56yrs, of Kingston, NS passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Stephenville, NL she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Benoit and was raised by Norman and Bertha Young. Ivy dedicated her life to raising her family and was loved by all her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband Bruce Stoddart, Kingston; daughters, Christina Chaisson (Gordon Cleveland), East Port Medway; Jessica (Phillip) Bowser, Oromocto, NB; Shelley (Ryan) Thompson, Upper Granville; Sonya (James) Cottrell, Middleton; Natasha Chaisson (Jeremiah Vidito), Bridgetown; step daughter, Jessica Stoddart, Bridgetown; son, James “Jamie” Chaisson (Cheralee Perkins), Wilmot; step son, Patrick Stoddart, Bridgetown ; sisters, Rena (Maurice) Benoit, Degrau, NL; Pearl (Vince) Bernard, Cambridge, ON; brothers, Curtis (Bev) Benoit, Marches Point, NL; Eric Benoit, Ontario; Hank (Valerie) Young, Renews, NL; half brothers, George (Bea) Young, Marches Point, NL; Teddy (Bert) Young, Red Brook, NL; 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her brother Rene Young. By Ivy’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
