FONCE SMITH (1940-2013) It is with great sadness that the family of the late FONCE SMITH of St. Lawrence announces his passing at the Health Science Centre in St. John's, on Friday, December 13, 2013, at the age of 73. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Annie of 33 years, son Christopher (Chelsea Hulse-Smith) of Barry, ON, daughters Christina (Ken) Young of North Carolina, and Nikki (Rick) Purchase of Halifax, NS; sisters Shirley Rimmer of Georgia, and Jean Works of Florida; brother Doug (Mary) Smith of Truro, NS; and sister-in-law Audrey Smith of St. John's; 5 grandchildren Shyden, Kennedy, Connor, Julie and Alex; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Harry & Mary Smith, and brother Harold Smith. Resting and visitation will take place from St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church in St. Lawrence on Sunday, December 15, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Monday, December 16, all day. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 17, at 10:30 a.m. from St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Mount Cecilia R.C. Cemetery in St. Lawrence.
