It is with great sadness that the family of the late MARGARET STEWART of St. Bernard’s announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Monday, January 17, 2017 at the age of 88. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Sam (Eileen) of St. Bernard’s, Frank (Yvonne) of St. Bernard’s, Daniel (Selina) of St. Bernard’s, Patrick (Darlene) of AB, Leonard (Deanette) of NB, and Jeffery (Daylene) of AB; daughters, Catherine Powers of NS, Carmelita (Raymond) Hynes of Harbour Breton, Patsy (John) Starette of ON, Rita of AB, Lorraine George (Steve Wright) of AB, Norma Stewart of AB, Darlene Stewart (Hubert Dominaux) of Harbour Mille, Philomena Stewart (Don) of AB, and Carla (Mike) Baker of AB; son-in-law Walter Cornelssen of AB; sisters, Corsina of Conne River, and Jane of ON; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Stewart; parents, William and Philomena Burke; daughter, Nancy Cornelssen; grandson Adam Stewart; sons-in-law, Jim Beaupre and Larry Powers; brother, Mike Burke; and sister Catherine Hinks. The Stewart Family will be accepting visitors at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in St. Bernard’s on Tuesday, January 17th beginning at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, January 18th All Day; and Thursday, January 19th All Day; from where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
