Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, NL, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, CHRISTINE EVANS of English Harbour East, NL, in her 59th year. Leaving to mourn her sisters Hazel Kearley (Wilson), English Harbour East, Rita Hunt , Harbour Breton, brother Gordon Evans (Dorothy), English Harbour East; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Christine is predeceased by her parents Reuben and Annie Evans and her brother Clarence Evans. Resting at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, English Harbour East on Sunday, January 15, 2017, from 6:00 pm, and all day Monday, Jan. 16, 2017. The funeral service will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, English Harbour East, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 10:00 am. She will then rest at St. Thomas Anglican Church in English Harbour West, on Tuesday, January 18, 2017 from 7 pm. Interment will follow on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Anglican Church Cemetery in English Harbour West. No flowers at the request of the family.
