The Cape Breton Post, February 8, 2017 Edith Mary Leon Passed in Sydney on February 7th, 2017 Edith Mary Leon (93) passed away February 7, 2017 at the Celtic Court, Sydney. Born in St. Lawrence Newfoundland to the late Tom and Mary Tobin. Edith is survived by daughter, Jeannette (Mel) Neville, Sydney, Diane Carson, Sydney and son, Fred, L'Ardoise. She was predeceased by husband, Fred; son, Robert; sister, Lucy MacNeil; brothers, Tom and Bill. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Cremation has taken place and keeping with Edith’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the SW Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra Street, Sydney. Father Paul Murphy officiating. Donations in Edith’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
