It is with great sadness that the family of the late IRENE (CLARKE) GREEN of Wreck Cove, formerly of Little Bay East, announces her peaceful passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre in Botwood, after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are beloved husband, Arthur Cox of nearly 30 years; sons, Terry (Lisette) Clarke and Sheldon (Charlene) Clarke; grandchildren: Adam, Jeremy, Chantal and Chelsey; great-grandson, Landon; sister, Mary Ann Kirby; brother, Arch (Brenda) Clarke; stepsons, John (Stella), Roy (Marie), Allan (Roberta), Freeman (Melinda), Glen (Mildred); stepdaughter, Dora (Paul); three nieces, nine nephews, four step nieces, and eight step nephews; plus a large circle of other family members and countless friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Clarke; sons, William, Eugene and Rodney; parents, Adam and Matilda; brothers, George (Mary), Angus (Emily), Neil and Myril (Myrtle); brother-in-law, Gerald Kirby; nephew, Glen Kirby and her second husband, William Green. The Green Family will be accepting visitors at Salem United Church in Little Bay East on Sunday, February 26, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, February 27, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Salem United Church Cemetery, Little Bay East.
