    3. The Cape Breton Post, January 21, 2014 Alexander Webber Passed in: Little Lorraine on: January 17th, 2014 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Alexander L. Webber at the age of 76, on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at home, peacefully with his family. Born on Spotted Island Labrador, he was the son of the late Barton Webber and Rhoda (Turnbull) Webber Kennedy Boutilier. Alex worked at National Sea Products for 45 years. He joined the work force at the age of 14 and was employed there until the plant closed. He was also a member of the “Special Constable Service” for the town of Louisbourg. He was an active lobster fisherman and he belonged to the Bateston Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Margaret (MacMillan); daughters, Bev (Lloyd) Snow, Pictou, Cecilia, Ontario and son-in-law, Lester Ward, Maureen (Daniel), Mira, Jeanette (Jerry) Dykstra, Marathon, Ontario; sons, Darrell (Chickie) and Robie (Raylene). He is also survived by his sisters, Laura Kennedy, Little Lorraine, Rosalie Little, Hopewell, Lillian Keats, Happy Valley, Goosebay; brother, Jim Webber, Ontario and brother-in-law, Donald MacMillan, Louisbourg. He was the proud grandfather of Tanya, Brandon, Ryan, Justine, Cody, Danielle, Kyle, Jeremy, Randy, Jovin, Monica and great-grandfather to Aiden and Maddox. He is loved by many nieces and nephews as well as many more who considered him a second Dad. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by, brothers Ken, Johnny, Herbert, Wilfred, and Abe, all of Happy Valley Goose Bay, and Robert Kennedy, Little Lorraine. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Main-A-Dieu with Fr. Raj officiating. Interment to follow in Main-A- Dieu Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Main-A-Dieu Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice. Family flowers only, please.
