The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, January 13, 2014 George Moulton(December 20, 1925 - January 10, 2014) Moulton George, age 88, passed away peacefully and joined his wife Sadie on January 10, 2014, surrounded by his family. Born on December 20, 1925 in Burin Bay, NFLD he was the son of the late George Moulton and Emily (Atkinson-Hobin) Moulton. He worked for 35 years for General Motors Canada as an electrician. He volunteered with St. John’s Ambulance and the H.A.N.D. for over 20 years. George received the Governor Generals award for his work with St. John’s Ambulance. He loved walking reading and being helpful to anyone who needed help. He was a faithful member of Faith Baptist church in Lwr. Sackville for many years having served on all the boards of the church. George is survived by sons; Guy (Karen), Donald (Debbie) Mitchell; daughter, Cheryl (Kenny) Bennett six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Joshua; sister Jessie Mitchell, many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents George is predeceased by his wife Sadie; three sisters and two brothers. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the third floor at the Arborstone Advanced Care Facility. A special thank you to his special niece Joy for her tireless efforts. A memorial service will be held on Friday January 17th, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia with the Rev Joao Matwawana officiating with a visitation from 1-2 on that day. Burial will be held at a later date. Donations in George’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
