Elsie E. Reid (October 26, 1919 - January 22, 2014) It is with great sadness the family of Elsie D. Reid of Bain Harbour announces her passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on January 22, 2014, at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn son Hayward (Alice) of Grand Bank; daughter Joyce (Leo) of Baine Harbour, 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 Great great grandchildren; daughters-in-law Daphne Lake and Elizabeth Reid; special friend and homecare worker Mary Vaters plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by brother Cyril Whittle; sister Beulah Kenway ; Children Morgan and Leslie and husband Roy Reid. Resting at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Baine Harbour Thursday 7-9 pm and all day Friday. Funeral Service Saturday at 2 pm with interment following at Anglican Cemetery, Baine Harbour. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Mark's Anglican Church or flowers gratefully accepted.
