MATTHEW MURPHY (1938-2014) It is with great sadness that the family of the late MATTHEW MURPHY of Little Bay announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the age of 75. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Marion of 54 years; sons Matt Jr. (Cathy) of Little Bay, Ken (Shirley) of Little Bay, Bobby (Cathy) of Marystown and Luke (Tonia) of Little Bay; daughters Yvonne (John Price) of Little Bay, Anne Marie (Billy Murphy) of Little Bay and Corina (Walter Rennie) of Little Bay; sisters Betty (Bart) Walsh of Little Bay and Maggie Murphy of Little Bay; brothers Edward (Thelma) of Stephenville, James of Little Bay, Thomas (Velma) of Carmen, Manitoba, Alphonsus (Margaret) of Little Bay and Eugene of St. John’s; 13 grandchildren Bradley, Rodney, Cynthia, Joshua, Dana, Thomas, Christopher, Scott, Cole, Mark, Nicholas, Brandon and Halie; great-granddaughter - Isabella; brother-in- law Peter Kilfoy of Little Bay; sister-in-law Violet Murphy of Spanish Room; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Alphonsus and Elizabeth Murphy; brothers John and Ignatius; sister Monnie; sisters-in-law Juanita Kilfoy, Priscilla and Margaret Murphy. Resting and visitation will take place from Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Friday, February 28, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown, on Monday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Little Bay.
