ELLA VICTORIA PITMAN (1917-2014) It is with great sadness that the family of the late ELLA VICTORIA PITMAN of St. Lawrence announce her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Thursday, February 20, 2014,at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husband John; sisters Jessie, Ivy, and Christie; and brothers Lewis, Bert, Reg, and Max. Left to celebrate her life are her children Cyrus (Mary), Carolyn (Randell Edwards), and Frank (Cathy); her sisters Joyce, Anna, and Vera; her brothers Robert, Leo, Tom, Lowell, Forsey, and Edwin; her sister-in-law Bernice; her grandchildren John, Paul, Stephen, Cathy, Renée, Clinton, David, Grant, and Laura; her great-grandchildren Maggie, Thomas, Harry, James, Ella, Annabelle, Vivian, and Meika; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. A prayer service and reflection will take at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, St. Lawrence, on Saturday, February 22nd at 7:30 p.m. A service of thanksgiving will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, St. Lawrence. A memorial fund will be established to honour her memory at St. Matthew’s Church, St. Lawrence. Cremation has already taken place at her request.
