The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, February 26, 2014 Violet Pye(October 31, 1921 - February 19, 2014) We regret to announce the passing of our beloved Wife and Mother Violet (Blagdon) Pye od Dartmouth, at Northwood Centre on February 19, 2014 Born in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Bertha (Cox) Blagdon. Violet is survived by her loving husband Clyde G. Pye, of Dartmouth. Daughters Shirley (Keith ) Arnold, son Ronnie (Bernice) Bigney, grandson Parker (Darlene) , Granddaughter Linda (Paul), Grandson Douglas, Granddaughters Stacey (Roy) Angelia (Rob) and Valerie, several great grandchildren and one special great-great gransdson Brayden. She is survived by three sisters Gladys Ashford, Eileen Keeping, Annie Bennet, and one brother Freddie Blagdon. Predeceased by her sisters Amelia, Myrtle and Flora, and brothers Leslie, George, Garland, and Freeman. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral by Violet’s request.
