The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, February 15, 2014 May Sarah Elizabeth Keeping(October 20, 1912 - February 11, 2014) Age 101, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Arborstone Continuing Care in Spryfield. Born in Saddle Island, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances Nash. May is survived by her sister Irene Bullen, Bedford; Daughters Barbara Goucher, St John, NB; Fran Keeping, Norfolk, CT; Sons, Harold of Sudbury, ONT; Les of Abbotsford, B.C.; Ralph of Middle LaHave, NS; as well as 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harold, sister Mary, and brothers Jack, Stan, Dorcy "David", and Lewis "Lew". May lived a long, wonderful and productive life. Her family was her greatest joy. She will be greatly missed. Sincere thanks to the staff at Arborstone for their kind and thoughtful care of May. Visitation will be at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax on Sunday Feb 16 from 2-4. Funeral service will be at Cruikshank's Chapel on Monday the 17th at 11 am.
