The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, February 7, 2014 Claudius Grandy(August 23, 1929 - February 5, 2014) Age 84 years, of Halifax, died at home February 5, 2014. Born in Garnish, Newfoundland, Claude was the eldest son of the late Thomas and Jessie Grandy, Halifax. He was predeceased by his sister, Renee (Leslie) Isaacs, Halifax. He is survived by his brother, Edwin (Ida) Grandy, Halifax, and many nephews and nieces. Claude was a long-time employee of Moirs Chocolates and a faithful member of the Salvation Army Church. Visitation will be held in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, (455-0531) on Friday, February 7, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be in Snow's Chapel on Saturday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow service. Burial to take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. No flowers, by request. Donations in Claude's memory may be made to the Salvation Army Fairview Citadel.
