SAMUEL J. LANE (1939-2014) It is with great sadness that the family of the late SAMUEL J. LANE of Marystown announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the age of 74. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Shirley of 52 years; sons Gus (Heather) of Winterland, Tim (Nanis) of Mississauga, ON, and Stan (Noemi) of Brampton, ON; daughters Dianne (Keith) Squires of Holyrood, Wanda (Carl) Gaulton of Marystown, Madeline Lane of Sackville, NS, Anita (Gary) Hynes of Marystown, and Cathy (Bobby) Murphy of Marystown; 19 grandchildren Cindy, Scott, Jon, Gillian, Alexander, Candace, Zachary, Victoria, Erica, Tara, Jessica, Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, Brandon, Emma, Kaden, and Max; great-granddaughter Emma; sisters Linda (Ted) Xerri, and Shirley (Don) Lucas; brothers Anthony (Sharon) Lane, and Gus (Carolyn) Lane; sister-in-law Martha Ann Lane; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Mathias and Hannah Lane, brother Paul Lane and nephew Kevin Lane. Resting and visitation will take place from Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Friday, February 21st from 7 pm – 9 pm; Saturday, February 22nd from 10 am – 9 pm; and Sunday February 23rd from 10 am – 9 pm; The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Monday, February 24th, 2014 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
