Garold Matthews (July 24, 1943- February 17, 2014) It is with great sadness the family of Garold Matthews of Burin announces his passing at the Health Science Centre on February 17, 2014, at the age of 70 years. Leaving to mourn wife Mercedes, sons Shawn (Rosella) and Calvin (Lindsay); daughter Karolyn ; mother-in-law Hannah Power; grandchildren Curtis, Jennifer, Jared, Mackenzie and Rory; brothers Ron (Lis), Lesley, Eugene (Melita); sisters Betty and Lorna plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Gertie and Roland Matthews and sister Ethel. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place Wednesday, February 19th from 10 AM to 9 PM. Memorial Service to take place from Serenity Chapel Thursday, February 20th at 11 AM.
