The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, March 20, 2014 Alfred Hartery(1921-2014) Hartery, Alfred, 92, of Highland Crest Home, Hillcrest St, Antigonish, died on Sunday March 16 at the home. Born in Bishop's Falls NewFoundland, he was a son of the late John Alfred and Alice Maude (Moss) Hartery.. He was a devoted member of St. Ninian Cathedral Parish, attending Mass daily until his health declined. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Alfred worked in the post office in NewFoundland. Upon his retirement he relocated to Antigonish to be close to family. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation, a Funeral Service will be held today at 2pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St. Antigonish, with Rev. Angus MacGillivray presiding .
