WILLIAM JOSEPH (BUCK) SLANEY (1955-2014) William Joseph (Buck) Slaney of St. Lawrence, NL passed peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014, with his wife Ann Marie of 32 years by his side as always. Buck is pre-deceased by his parents Donald and Nellie Slaney, as well as his in-laws, Maurice and Kay Carty of Smiths Falls, ON. Buck is survived by his siblings Alex (Lucy), Vic (Theresa), Terry (Tracy), Jose (Pad), Carm, Ray (Brenda), Donny (Denise), Darlene (Perry) and Todd (Evelyn). Survived also by his brothers-in-law James Carty of Smiths Falls, ON and Stephen Carty of Toronto, ON. Also loved and fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends. Resting and visitation will take place from St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in St. Lawrence on Saturday, March 8th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, March 9th all day. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 10, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery in St. Lawrence.
