It is with broken hearts that the family of the late BERNARD DUCEY of Marystown announces his passing. Bernard passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Angela of 46 years; sons, Bernard (Laura) of St. John’s and Jerome of Marystown; daughter, Lori (John Pike) of Spanish Room; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Pike (Tara Power), Kirklin Pike, Kaden Pike and Jada Ducey; 1 great-granddaughter Kaylee Power; brothers, Tim (Joan) of Mortier, Eugene (Gloria) of St. Lawrence, Howard (Dorothy) of Mortier, Marlon of Marystown, Greg (MaryAnn) of Marystown, Randy of Marystown, and Bill (Kim) of Flatrock; sisters, Monica (Max) Prosser of North Sydney, Sheila (Edward) Whittle of Marystown, Maureen (Robie) Beazley of Lewin’s Cove, Yvonne (Eric) Baker of Little Bay East and Rhonda (Paul) Stanford of Sheerstown; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Bernard was predeceased by his parents Timothy and Ada Ducey, brothers Frank and Adrian and nephews Frankie Ducey and Lonnie Ducey. The Ducey Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Sunday, November 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Monday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. As per Bernard’s request, Cremation will take place following funeral service.
