It is with broken hearts that the family of the late SUSAN DRAKE of St. Lawrence announces her passing. Mrs. Drake passed away at the Carbonear Long Term Care Facility on November 6, 2018 at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Reginald (Margie) Edwards of Calgary, AB, and Brendan (Ronnie) Edwards of Bay Roberts; daughters, Cynthia (George) Corcoran of Port Blanford, Judy Edwards (Ed Lundrigan) of Little Bay, Maryanne (Max) Hynes of Southern Harbour, and Betty-Lou (Paul) Doyle of Houston, BC; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Avelina Fitzpatrick of St. Lawrence, and Judith Fitzpatrick of St. Lawrence; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Mrs. Drake was predeceased by her husbands, Reginald Edwards & David Drake; parents, Mary Ann And John Fitzpatrick; sister, Rita Cusick; and brothers, Ambrose, Peter & Robert Fitzpatrick. The Edwards & Drake Family will be accepting visitors at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in St. Lawrence on Thursday, November 8th from 1pm to 9pm; and Friday, November 9th from 10 am to 9 pm with a prayer vigil being held at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in St. Lawrence on Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Mt. Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence. In Susan’s memory flowers gratefully accepted.
