The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, October 26, 2018 Paris, Linda Ruth Of Halifax, passed away October 23, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born in Clarenville, N.L., she was a daughter of the late Harold and Ruby (Balsom) Pitcher. Linda was a long-term employee of Sears Canada and thoroughly enjoyed her co-workers and time there. She was an avid reader and loved people wherever she worked or lived; she had many close friends who loved her. Survived by her children, Shawn, Vanessa, and Thane; grandchildren, Delanie, Brooklynn, Micheal, Matthew, and Mitchell; brothers, Keith and Gary; sister, Shirley, as well as many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Paris; and her brother, Donald Pitcher. In keeping with Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place 4-6 p.m. Saturday, October 27th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Donations in memory may be made to the Diabetes Canada.
