It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Junior Major King of Fortune announces his passing. Junior passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Center in Burin on September 20, 2018, at the age of 74. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Jean of 52 years; son, Darin King (Colleen) of CBS; daughter, Denise King of St. John’s; 2 grandchildren, Mitchell King and Kate King; brother, Millett King (Freda) of Fortune; sisters, Valerie Lafosse (Guy) of Brooks, AB and Dianne King of Grand Bank; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Junior was predeceased by his parents Major and Muriel King, his brother Gerald King and parents-in-John and Elizabeth Williams. The King Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Fortune on Friday, September 21 from 2pm to 4 pm and 7pm to 9pm and Saturday, September 22 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral Service will take place at the United Church in Fortune on Sunday, September 23 at 2pm. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Fortune.
