It is with broken hearts that the family of the late ADA I. MATTHEWS of Bay L’Argent announces her passing. Mrs. Matthews passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the age of 89. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her; son, Glenn (Dorothy) Matthews of Bay L’Argent; daughter, Holly McCann (Peter Taphouse) of Halifax, NS; 3 grandchildren, Rex (Tanya) Matthews of Lewisporte, Shawn (Tammy) Matthews of Brooks, AB, and Ashley (Johnathan) Townsend of Berwick, NS; 7 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Spencer, Shauna, Sarah, Ryder, Hali and Emma; sister, Rosalie (Roland) Davis of Corner Brook; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Ada was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Matthews; parents, Richard & Jemima West; and parents-in-law, Jeremiah & Louisa Matthews. The Matthews Family will be accepting visitors at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Bay L’Argent on Sunday, September 16th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm; and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Bay L’Argent on Monday, September 17th, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at St. Hilda’s Anglican Cemetery, Bay L’Argent.
