MARGARET ELMS (1939-2016) It is with great sadness that the family of the late MARGARET ELMS of Creston South announces her passing at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the age of 76. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons Keith (Taryn) of St. John’s, and Albert (Amy) of Halifax, NS; daughters Roxanne (George) Brammer of Charlottetown, PEI, and Deanne Elms of St. John’s; grandsons Christopher Skinner and Oscar Elms; great-grandson Caleb Skinner; sisters Helen (Frank) Barnes of Topsail, and Rowena Strickland of St. Philips; brothers Edwin (Geraldine) Cake of Topsail, and Gilbert (Philomena) Cake of CBS; sisters-in-law Gladys Cake of Lamaline, Mabel Elms of Grand Bank, and Gloria (Steve) Douglas of Garnish; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Oscar Elms; parents, Allan & Lucille Cake; brothers, Arthur (Francis) Cake and Keith Cake. The family will receive visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home in Creston South on Tuesday, July 5th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at United Church in Creston South, on Wednesday, July 6th, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at United Church Cemetery in Creston South.
