The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, September 20, 2016 Linda Marie Bishop(July 13, 1959 - September 16, 2016) BISHOP, Linda Marie - of Lower Sackville, passed away suddenly on September 16, 2016 at the age of 57, following a long brave battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her loved ones. She was a daughter of Ruby and the late Howard Mercer Sr. of Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland. Linda will be deeply missed by her beloved spouse “Skip” David McLagan; and loving daughters Lori of Elgin, Moray, Scotland and Angela of Petawawa, Ontario and their partners Stuart and Pat. Predeceased by her brother Howard Mercer Jr, parents-in-law Ethel and Ian McLagan, Grandparents Leander Mercer Sr, Julie Mercer, Walter Warren and Phoebe Warren. A special thank you to Dr. Rayson, the staff at the Dixon Cancer Centre, the oncology and palliative care units at the VG Hospital for all of their care and compassion. A funeral service will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, on Wednesday, September 21 at 2 p.m. An additional service will be held in Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland at a later date.
