He was the son of George and Eileen (Tibbo) Griffin of Harbour Breton, Newfoundland. He is survived by son George Patrick Griffin of Dartmouth, N.S., Three sisters, a brother and their families. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home Dartmouth N.S. Leon will be interred at a later in Newfoundland.
