Born in Stephenville, Nfld., he was the son of Roy and Elizabeth Bennett. He loved family vacations, movies and his beloved dog, Niko. Byron is survived by his wife, Tabitha Sheaves; two daughters, Alyssa Bennett (Nick MacDonald) and Kayleigh Bennett and nephew Charles Bennett, (Kristin Boudreau) whom he he raised as his son; sister, Della Robson(Tim Merrick) Bedford; brothers, Derrick Bennett (Lynda Byrne), Edmonton, Alta; Andrew Belyea (Tara Belyea), Brandford, Ont., Mark Sheaves (Jan MacAskill), Sackville, Sean Sheaves (Bonnie Sheaves), Dartmouth; 19 nieces and nephews.
