It is with heavy hearts and saddened souls that we announce the passing of our dear loved one, Cynthia Elizabeth Bryant at the age of 54. Formerly of Cavendish, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland. Cynthia peacefully lost her fearless and courageous battle with cancer at the QEII VG Site in Halifax. It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of this devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. At the time of her death, mom was surrounded by her loving and extended family. She was born on November 23, 1916, in Gaultois, NL to Minnie (Baldwin) and Isaac Hunt. She is survived by her devoted sons, Earl (Stephanie), Albert (Carolyn), Calvin (Jane); son-in-law, Pat Dunphy (recently deceased daughter, Martha). She was a very special Nan to Marcelle, Mark, Michael, Patricia, Angela, and Chad. A loving great-grandmother to Gillian, Dominique, Cheyenne, Dante, Luc, Cassidy, Taylor, Mackenzie, Noah, Rowan, Mason, Alex (deceased), and Logan (deceased); sisters, Ethel (Lanzano) and Phyllis (Harris). She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Harold; infant son, Albert; daughter, Martha; brothers, Ward, Charlie, Max; sisters, Monnie and Eileen. She spent her lifetime caring for her home and the needs of her family and those placed in her care. She rejoiced in the successes and accomplishments of all those she touched. "Butch" Rowsell(May 16, 1936 - January 22, 2014) Rowsell, George Wallace “Butch” – 77, of Herring Cove, passed away January 22, 2014 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Walter and Janice (Wallace) Rowsell. At a very early age, George became a plumber and eventually owned and operated his own plumbing business, Murphy and Warton Plumbing which later became Mr. Plumber. After his retirement, he took great pride in gardening and loved to vacation in Florida. George had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce (Oxford); daughter, Janet (Gordon) Heaney; grandchildren, Chad, Amanda (Keith Saulnier); great granddaughter Peyton as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son, Allan as well as his brother and sisters. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax.
