Born in Rencontre East, NFL, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Ellen (Foote) Mullins. She is survived by loving husband, Gerald, at home; son, Wayne (Bernice), St. Joseph; daughter, Anne Marie (Bobby) Boudreau, New Edinburgh. She was a loving grandmother to 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Natalie, Isaac. Emily was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by siblings, Leonard, George, Abner, Bertha, Dorothy, Marjorie, Earl, Priscilla, Gerald, John. Visitation will be Friday, February 28, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Meteghan Funeral Home. The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, February 26, 2014 Violet Pye(October 31, 1921 - February 19, 2014) We regret to announce the passing of our beloved Wife and Mother Violet (Blagdon) Pye od Dartmouth, at Northwood Centre on February 19, 2014 Born in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Bertha (Cox) Blagdon. Violet is survived by her loving husband Clyde G. Pye, of Dartmouth. Daughters Shirley (Keith ) Arnold, son Ronnie (Bernice) Bigney, grandson Parker (Darlene) , Granddaughter Linda (Paul), Grandson Douglas, Granddaughters Stacey (Roy) Angelia (Rob) and Valerie, several great grandchildren and one special great-great gransdson Brayden. She is survived by three sisters Gladys Ashford, Eileen Keeping, Annie Bennet, and one brother Freddie Blagdon. Predeceased by her sisters Amelia, Myrtle and Flora, and brothers Leslie, George, Garland, and Freeman. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral by Violet’s request. The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, February 26, 2014 Charles "Charlie" Blundon(February 28, 1936 - February 23, 2014) Blundon, Charles Douglas “Charlie”-Eastern Passage. Age 77. Charlie was the last surviving member of his family he passed away Sunday February 23, 2014 in Mount Hope. Born in St. John’s he was a son of the late Hesakah and Elizabeth (West) Blundon. Charlie worked at Vickers Gulf Station and Halifax Shipyards. He was a member of the M.W.F. Union local no. 1. Charlie enjoyed walking, music and was extremely proud of his ’48 Dodge pickup truck. Charlie is survived by his wife Margaret; son Tom (Joan), Carroll’s Corner; daughter Sandra “Sandy”, Dartmouth; grandchildren Douglas, Amanda, Perry, Michael, Jessica, Nicolle, Tommy Jr., Johnathan and Mackenzie; and great grandson, Jayden and many nieces and nephews He was predeceased by his sons Douglas; infant son John and 13 siblings. The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Hall, for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Thursday, February 27, with a funeral service 2pm Friday February 28, Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, February 25, 2014 Lannon (Pritchett), Florrie Georgina Age 97, of Kingston, ON; passed away peacefully at Providence Manor Nursing Home on February 21, 2014, with family present. Born November 20, 1916, in Middle Brook, Gambo, NL, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rachael Pritchett and was the last surviving member in a family of six children. Florrie was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by son Sam (Dartmouth, NS); daughter Regina (Kingston, ON); son Phillip (Toronto, ON); daughter Paula (Inuvik, NWT). Florrie was the grandmother of Christopher, Andrew, Colleen, Justin, Thomas, and Patricia, and great grandmother of Moreen and Clare. She was predeceased by her husband Leo; brothers, Dr. Newton, Kitchener, Michael; sisters, Daphne and Madge; and daughter-in-law, Moreen (Martin). Florrie was blessed with a long life and lived with her family in many parts of Canada including Gander and St. John's, NL, Frobisher Bay, NWT, Brampton, ON, Norris Arm South, NL, Dartmouth, NS and Kingston, ON. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Providence Manor for their care and compassion during her final years. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander,NL where visitation will be held 2-4pm and 7-9 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery in Gander, NL.
