Looking for info on my grandfather William Cofield who died on Dec. 14, 1893 in St. John's, NFLD, Canada. He at one time was a first or second mate on the brig., Jesse and another time on the Bark. Fannie. He later worked as a cooper in St. John's and 2 of his children Edward and James attended the Bonaventure school.He was married to a Margaret Walsh who ran a grocery and conf. store. They lived on St. James st. at the time of his death which was published in the paper that I found on micro film. He was buried in Belvedere Cemetery with 3 of their little children. I found the grave stone. It was a very emotional thing for me to see it and the names of an aunt, 3 years old, 2 infant uncles, 6 and 7 months. Hope someone can help me.
