COLLINS, Raymond Arthur - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John`s on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, Mr. Raymond A. Collins of Spaniard`s Bay, 67 years. Predeceased by father William Collins, mother Bertha Collins (Clarke), and sister Myra Coombs. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Betty, son Raymond of Ontario, daughters Grace of Toronto, Ont., and Anne-Marie (husband Robert) of Brownsdale, NL, sisters Charlotte (husband John) of Upper Island Cove, Aleatha (husband Jerry) of Coley`s Point, two loving grandchildren: Rebecca and Nicole, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Young`s Funeral Home, Spaniard`s Bay. Funeral service Monday, Dec. 8th at 2 p.m. from Holy Redeemer Anglican Church. Interment to follow at the Maultree Hill Anglican Cemetery. Visitation Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3-10 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m.-noon, 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m., and Monday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m.-noon. No flowers by request. December 07, 2003 GILLINGHAM, Florence (nee Sharpe) - It is with great sadness and loving memories on the passing of a loving wife, mother and grandmother on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, Florence Gillingham (nee Sharpe). Aged 55 years. Predeceased by her mother and father: Mary Ellen and Thomas Sharpe; brothers: Archibald and Gerald Sharpe. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Maxwell; children: Maxine (Dave), Pam (Paul) and Morley (Corina); two precious grandchildren: Ryan and Morgan; sisters: Ellen Quilty (Mike), Marie Jennings (Wayne) and Diane Quilty (Fabian); brother Kevin Lawlor (Yvonne); sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Groves (Richard) and Ellen Sharpe; also a large number of loving nieces, nephews and other family and friends. December 07, 2003 GOODYEAR, Louise - Passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, Mrs. Louise Goodyear of Carmanville, in her 77th year. Predeceased by her brother William Davis, brothers-in-law Albert Blackwood and Dorman Foster. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Gordon of Nightingale Manor in Gander, four sons Boyd (Valery) of St. John`s, David (Linda) of Carmanville, Ted (Betty) of Carmanville, Brad (Angela) of Calgary, Alta., two daughters Glenda Burry (Eric) and Hazel Collins (Larry), both of St. John`s, two brothers George Davis (Doris), of Phoenix, Arizona, and Edgar David (Ivy) of St. John`s, two sisters Nina Blackwood and Clara Foster, both of St. John`s, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Sunday, Dec. 7 from the United Church in Carmanville. Interment at United Church Cemetery in Carmanville. Donations in her memory may be m! ade to the Newfoundland and Labrador Children`s Wish Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Stacey`s Funeral Home in Carmanville-Gander. ³There are angels walking among us.² December 07, 2003 SNOW, Hugh C. - Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick`s Mercy Home on Thursday, December 4, 2003, at the age of 85. A native of Clarke`s Beach, Conception Bay, and an ex-Sergeant with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, he retired in 1966 after 25 years service, and went on to a second career with Holiday Inn in St. John`s. He was also a long-term resident on Howley Ave. Ext., a devoted family man, and a dependable friend to many of his neighbors and co-workers. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary (nee Rose); two children: Doreen Singleton of St. John`s, and Hugh M. Snow and wife Lucille of Halifax, NS; five grandchildren: Carolyn, Andrea and Karl Singleton and Jonathan and Rebecca Snow. He will also leave behind a large circle of relatives and friends. He will be resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 7-9 pm. and again on Sunday, December 7. from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held on! Monday, December 8, 2003 at 11:00 am from St. Thomas` Anglican Church on Military Road. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery on Forest Road.
