A news flash, courtesy of "The Shoreline" published in Conception Bay South today, December 29, 2003 Local to appear on "History Channel" in January, 2004 It has been a long time coming but a "Point Le Haye", St. Mary's Bay native will get to see his experience of going back to the 1930's shown on Television. Harold St. Croix has been looking forward to the airing of the show which will take place January 11, 2003 and January 18, 2003 for two hours each night on the "History Channel". He says he wants to see how the experience will be portrayed and how it will be received by viewers. The experience of living life as if it were the 1930's for ten weeks in Hay Cove, Long Island, Placentia Bay is something St. Croix says he will never forget. The historic integrity of the time was kept by providing participants with period appropriate clothing, tools, food, Boats and other supplies. They also worked doing the tasks of the day such as taking care of vegetable Gardens, animals and catching fish.
