HICKEY, Thomas - Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit on Dec. 19, 2003 after a long but courageous battle with cancer in the presence of his family, Thomas Michael Hickey, age 61 years. Predeceased by his father, Patrick, sister Patricia and brother Joseph. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Geraldine of 39 years, son Perry, daughters Kimberly and Kelly, son-in-law Mark Kavanagh, precious granddaughter Melissa, mother Elizabeth, brother Patrick, sisters Annie (Leo), Josephine (Lloyd) and Theresie; also a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation Saturday from 7 -10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 2 p.m. Monday from Holy Trinity Church. December 21, 2003 JANES, Uriel Mary (³Lool²) - Passed peacefully away at her home in Paradise on Dec. 20, 2003, Uriel Janes, age 79 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel, son Harvey, daughter Daphne (O`Brien) and grandson, Matthew (Hodder). Leaving to cherish her always are her sons: Victor (Kay) and Roger; daughters Linda, Pearl Livingstone (Russell), Kathy Chafe (Gerard), Muriel Janes-Pretty (Eugene) and Honna Janes-Hodder (David); grandchildren Shane Livingstone, Justin and Stephen Janes, Amanda Chafe, Natalie Strijak (Sasha), David and Kristina Hodder. Also leaving to mourn six sisters and four brothers, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Our mother was an incredible woman, forever devoted to her family and steadfast in her faith in God. She has left us with a powerful, positive influence that will continue to live on in all who knew her. Predeceased by her husband Harold (Hal) in 1980. Left in mourning but with fondest memories are her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Margaret; beloved grandchildren Leigh (Tammy) of St. John`s, and Kathleen (John) of Ottawa; cherished great-grandchildren Gwenyth and Chloe, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, especially the residents and staff of Chancellor Park.
