Joseph Patrick Clowe aged 82 years. Predeceased by wife Catherine Clowe nee Johnson 1998 and son Keith 1992. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter Brenda; son Ken (Eunice); grandchildren Patrick (Denice), Melissa and Cassandra. Great-grandchild Zachary. Brothers Tom and Jim at Ferryland and a large circle of relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of VP3 Caribou Memorial Pavilion, Miller Centre. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Funeral on Tuesday at the Basilica for Mass at 9:30 am. Interment in Field of Honor. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory to the Arthritis Society. December 08, 2003 HAMMOND, Mary - Passed peacefully away on Dec. 6 after a courageous battle with cancer, in the presence of God and her family Mary Hammond (Neary) age 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Steve and son-in-law Ray Bridger. Left to mourn with the most fond and loving memories daughter Margaret Lake (Hallis) Nova Scotia; Son Loyola (Tammie) Portugal Cove; Daughters Bernadette Bridger (Jason) Portugal Cove (with whom she resided); and Imelda Manning (Randy) Alberta. Ten grandchildren: Stephen, Gregory (Amanda) Lake, Gus (Melanie), Debbie (Troy) Hammond, Nikki Lee (Chris), Damien (Krista), special and dear to her heart Brandon Bridger, Jeremy (Amy), Ryan (Lee-anne) and Ashley (Nathan) Manning. Four great-grandchildren: Keisha Smith-Lakes, Isabella Lake, Kennedy and Reid Manning. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. Special friends Mary and Reg, Harry and Florence, Neta and Angela. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, Torbay from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday (De! c 8 and 9). Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Holy Rosary Parish, Portugal Cove Wednesday, December 10, 2003. Cremation to follow. ³We never lose those we give to God.² December 08, 2003 HARTLEY CARAHUAPOMA, Vicente - Passed peacefully away on Dec. 7, 2003 at the Miller Centre Palliative Care unit, after a courageous battle with cancer. To mourn his sad loss is his family in Lima, Peru, mother Alicia Hartley Carahuapoma, three sisters Gladis and Haydee and families in Lima, Alicia and family in Australia; two brothers Victor and Ricardo and families, Lima, Peru. His daughter Emilia and her mother Dora. Vicente will be sadly missed by his friends and volunteers at the Gathering Place, The Association for New Canadians, The YMCA and the Purple Elephant Art Club. He leaves behind numerous good friends in St. John`s especially Mr. Al Clouston (Uncle Al), Sr. Maura Mason and Marie Butler. Vicente`s family in Peru expresses their deepest gratitude for the many friends who journeyed with Vicente during his time in St. John`s and are grateful that Vicente decided to make his home here. May his gentle soul rest in peace. December 08, 2003 MALONEY (Dwyer), Sheila Margaret - Passed peacefully away on Sunday Dec. 7, 2003 at her residence surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Margaret Dwyer. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband, Eric, sons Eric (Lynn Anne), Francis (Stephanie), Christopher (Kate) and daughter Erin. Her precious granddaughter, Alyssa. Brothers Stan, Marty (Barbara), sisters Maureen and Linda Dwyer. Brothers-in-law Lloyd (Frances) and Don (Patricia), sisters-in-law, Roslyn (John) Connors and Virginia (Douglas) Chafe, also many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles as well as relatives and friends, especially the staff and students of Mobile Central High School. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Monday and Tuesday from noon- 5:00 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Kevin`s Roman Catholic Church, Goulds Wednesday 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre.
