BLACKWOOD, Pearl (nee Wicks) - Passed peacefully away at The Agnes Pratt Nursing Home on Monday, August 11, 2003, Pearl Blackwood, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Capt. James Blackwood, grandson Blair Greening, son-in-law Gary Glass and brother Eric Wicks. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Angus (Mary), Eric (Aline), Job (Myra), Charlie (Louise), Colin (Greta) and Jeff (Wanda); daughters: Alice Oty (Jim), Henrietta Cooze (Carmen), Sophie Glass, Martha Greening (Glenn), Rosaline Caines (Ted) and Della Thomas (Greg); thirty-four beloved grandchildren and their families. Also leaving to mourn brother Lloyd Wicks (Eileen); sisters: Annie Knee and Patsy Nichol; nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, especially the residents and staff of Agnes Pratt Home. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 10 am - 12 noon, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Cremation to follow. Passed peacefully away August 10, 2003 after a brief battle with cancer at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital at the age of 63. Predeceased by her husband John and daughter Diana; sisters: Anna, Bess, Veronica, Loretta and brother Bill; parents: Francis and Katherine Humby.
