Cause of Death: Convulsions - premature at age: 6 days, born at: Little Current on 10 Mar 1926. Father: Levi Halfyard, born: Newfoundland; Mother: Susie Connell, born: Sharon, Ont. OVR# 021725 SAMUEL CLARKE SUTTON In loving memory of Samuel Clarke Sutton, December 14, 1924 to November 23, 2001. Samuel Sutton a resident of Sheguiandah First Nation passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Friday, November 23, 2001 at the age of 76 years. Sam was born in Newfoundland, son of the late Henry and Hazel (Penny) Sutton. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, good music and dancing. Sam worked at Ontario Hydro and as an industrial building painter. His greatest love was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. Beloved husband of Melvena (Bell) of Sheguaindah. Dear father of Heather (friend Rick), Jennifer (husband Paul), Mark, Malcalm (wife Mandy), Maurice (wife Louise predeceased), John, Sam Jr. (wife Eileen), Terry (wife Goldie), Kenneth (wife Dianah), Dennis (wife Annette), Mildred (husband Frank), Mary (husband Aiden), Violet (husband David), Jackie (husband Curtis), Ann Marie (husband George), Paul (wife Darlene). Loving pappy to 26 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary Jane and Violet. Predeceased by 5 brothers Bill, Chesley, Jack, Silas, and Malcalm, and 2 sisters Joanna and Sarah Lizzie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives called the Sheguiandah First Nation Community Centre on Sunday November 25, 2001. Funeral Service was held from the Community Centre on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 with Pastor Mary Ouimette officiating. Burial in Sheguiandah First Nation Cemetery. Manitowaning Chapel Funeral Home.
