Cary: I have my first James Gudger(Goodyear, Gouger) from Briants Cove, Conception Bay around 1750-1760 and a son John Gouger born late 1770's Harbour Grace area. This John married Mary Vokey, from Harbour Grace area at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace, Conception Bay. This John died before 1807 because his daughter Sarah was baptized 14 June 1807 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace and records state " daughter of late James" and Mary (spells Gouger). records found at St. Paul's Anglican Church Baptism records for 1784-1794 and on. If you have info on a Mary Vokey for that time, is quite possible this is same person. She was probably born around mid to late 1750's or 1760's. I could not find a birth / baptism for her in that area.
