Predeceased by her father and mother: Chesley and Clara Avery. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sister: Marilyn Randell (Ron); brothers: Clarence Avery (Becky), Grand Bank, and Eric Avery (Sonia), Mt. Passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, July 10, 2003. Born in Bell Island, NL, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lilla (Parsons) Rees. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in Riverview, NB. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Ita and her husband William Walsh of Moncton; two sons: Philip Bickford and Neil and his wife Cathy Bickford all of Riverview, NB; three grandchildren: Edward Walsh, Kelly and Ashly Bickford; sister: Eleanor Lamsford of Newfoundland; special nieces: Carol Finch, Elaine Cook and Vera Rose; special nephew Walter Pitts and his wife Ruby and by her many friends. July 11, 2003 MAWER, John Douglas MacKenzie (Doug) - 1930 - 2003. Doug passed away on July 5, 2003 after a lengthy illness, having recently celebrated his 73rd birthday. Doug was born in St. John`s, Newfoundland, Canada, on June 14, 1930, the second of two children born to Eleanor and Moncrieff Mawer, both from St. John`s. Doug is survived by his son Rob, his daughter Sue as well as his three grandchildren Amanda Mawer, Roger Mawer, and Zachary Spike, all residents of Simi Valley Doug worked as a design engineer for Shamban Aerospace for 34 years until his retirement. In his off hours, he was an avid aviation buff; from historian to building model aircraft, to restoring a vintage Taylorcraft. He was also an active member of the Los Angeles chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association. However, as much as he loved aviation, nothing gave him more joy than the time he spent with his three grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 3:30 at Reardon Mortuary in Simi Va! lley.
