Conception Harbour: DONAVAN, DALTON, O'DRISCOLL/DRISCOLL the's DONAVAN's (matenal grandmother, Bertha Donavan b. 1892) were in Conception harbour @ early- mid 1800 from Ireland. Bertha's parents : cornelius & Spouse, ellen (or Maryellen) in 1921 census are ggrandparents. They had 7 children. Some decendents may still be there. Most of their children moved to Philadelphia, PA, USA by 1930. DALTON, O'DRISCOLL/DRISCOLL were also listed 1921. these were neighboring families. bertha's many siblings married into these families. St John's: FOLEY, FLYNN Fred FOLEY ( paternal grandfather) son of maryEllen FLYNN & unknown FOLEY. No information on ellen Flynn. unknown Foley, his father, was born in Ireland. Fred was b. St John 1891. Immigrated to US @ 1911-12. settled in PA where he met & married Bertha DONAVAN. Two brothers that I know of for sure: Jack FOLEY, plumber or contacter in St John's in early 1920's. Not sure if he eventually moved to US. Another brother Robert FOLEY immigrated to Philadelphia, PA May also be another another brother Patrick.
