The Genealogy Forum Newfoundland chat on Sundays is on at 8 p.m. (Eastern) to give a better hour for anyone to log in from Newfoundland, where it is 9:30 p.m., Atlantic time. This was formerly only avaialble to AOL members, but now all can join and share your Genealogical interests. Instructions on logging in to the chat: 1. Access: <A HREF="http://www.genealogyforum.org/chat">www.GenealogyForum.org/chat</A> 2. Wait for the sign-in screen with more instructions and when the LOG IN screen appears, Type in the name you want to use in the chat. Usually your first name helps identify each other in the chat. 4. NO PASSWORD is needed for guests. Only the Hosts enter a password. 5. Click one time on CONNECT and wait until you enter the Forum. The technology is a little slow so there may be a few seconds of waiting. 6. When you enter you are in the lobby (screen to the left) which shows you all who are in the forum. You can chat directly with anyone there by clicking on their name and typing in a message. 7. To enter the Maple Leaf Chat Room (rooms listed on right), click on it and ENTER SELECTED ROOM. These instructions may be a little detailed, but they will assist first-time users. After a visit or two, it will become automatic.
