    3. Cecil Here Goes: Not much on Don but-- Don Goodyear, b. ?, died before 24 May 1998( as per his brother's obituary). Don was son of Eleazer Goodyear, b. 1 Sept 1872 Little Catalina, bapt 30 Jan 1873 at Methodist Church, Little Catalina, died 29 March 1920 and buried about 1 April 1920 in Old Methodist Cemetery, White Rock. I verified this headstone last summer on a cemetery visit. He married Hannah Samson Above Eleazer Goodyear was son of William Richard Goodyear and Clementine Johnson. NOW------------------- Here is the connections you are looking for: Sara Jane Goodyear, b. 22 Jan 1877 Little Catalina, bapt 1 March 1877 Little Catalina, died 1924. She married Augustus "Gus" Vivian on 8 Dec 1903. Sara Jane was daughter of William Richard Goodyear , b. 10 May 1848 Carbonear, South Side, bapt 13 June 1848 Methodist Church, Carbonear, died 1 Jan 1930 Fosters Point, Trinity Bay. He married 25 Nov 1871 to Clementine Johnson at Schoolhouse, Little Catalina by Mr. John Reay. Children: Eleazer. James William Johnson, Sara Jane, Emily, William George, & Adeline. Above William Richard Goodyear was son of James Goodyear, b. 15 Jan 1822 Bryant's Cove(Briants), Conception Bay, bapt 19 Nov 1822 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace, died 14 Dec 1883 Catalina, buried 15 Dec 1883 Methodist Church Cemetery, Catalina. He married 9 Nov 1843 to Ardelena Prudence Pike. Children: Laura Amelia, Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann, William Richard, Emily "Emma" Julia, George Rueben ( my great grandfather), James Robert, Pricilla "Drucilla", Louisa, & Henrietta. Above James Goodyear was son of Richard Goodyear, b. abt 1802 Bryant's Cove, died abt 21 July 1830, buried 23 July 1830 at St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Harbour Grace. He married a patience _?_, Children; Mary, Amey, James, & Sarah. Above Richard Goodyear was son of James Goodyear, b. abt 1755-1760/. died 1807 Harbour Grace. He married Mary Vokey abt 1780. Children: George, John, William , Sarah, Mary, James, Frances and Richard . Goodyear is spelled most times by Trinity Bay line by Gudger ( my grandfather & his brothers spelled their names this way for years). In Conception Bay I have seen marriage cert. with ; Gouger, Gudger, Goujier, Goodjer, This James is my earliest Goodyear in Briants Cove, buried records found at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Goodyear's left Harbour Grace and Carbonear area and landed in Catalina/ Little Catalina and built 2 large homes and settled in for the winter. after about 2 years 4 brothers left and 2 went to Wind Mill Bight and married into the Gibbons Family, 1 married another family in that area and 1 went up the Bay further and settled in Paradise.( Today that area is now called area around Goodyear's Cove, in Central NFLD) . He drowned and only had girls and that ended that line of male Goodyear's Interesting ! Anyway I have loads of info on these children and who they married. Most complete and every now and then I run across a Goodyear like your Don. Don't have much on your Don. Any help would be accepted. Morley Goodyear.
