POWER, Elizabeth - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Home on Monday, September 29, 2003, Elizabeth Power (nee Russell) of St. John`s. Elizabeth was born in Bay Roberts, NL. She is predeceased by her husband Martin (1977) and son John (1994). Leaving to mourn daughters Ann Druken (Harry - deceased) and Judy Scott (Don); daughter-in-law Lucy; grandchildren Pam Druken (Ches), Bill Druken (Barb), Marilyn Tulk (Gary), Karen Druken, Stephen Druken (Karen), Betty Martin (Keith), Carol Boone (Jim), Lynn Ford, Dana Lynn Scott, Donald Scott, Ron Scott; great-grandchildren: Teri Lynn, Sam, Johnathon, Mitchell, Stephanie, DJ, Dylan, Mandy, Lisa, Erin, Sarah, Jeremy, Alex, Jack, Joe, Jenna, Josh, Hunter; great great-grandchild Devon, plus many relatives in Bay Roberts and surrounding area. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, September 28, 2003, Phoebe L. Quinton of Charleston, aged 63 years. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Rita Prince, brothers Adolph and Robert and sister Ramona Bursey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Cecil of 46 years; daughters Peggy Quinton-Jordan (Chris), Pouch Cove, Debbie Duggan (John), St. John`s and Karen Simmonds (Chris), Canning`s Cove; son Russell (Sadie), Charleston; brother Heber Prince (Sylvia), five precious grandchildren Shelley, Kaitlin, Anna, Krista and Justin; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Prince, St. John`s, Estella Prince-Appleby, Nova Scotia, Dorothy Yetman, Bryant`s Cove and Marina Quinton, Summerville and a large circle of relatives and friends. September 30, 2003 ROSSITER, John Michael - Died tragically, in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Monday, September 29, 2003. John Michael Rossiter, aged 31 years. Predeceased by his grandparents, John and Mary Rossiter, Ted and Nance Kennedy and Margaret Kennedy. Leaving to mourn his parents, Bill and Brenda; brother Billy, sister Karen, as well as a large circle of family (especially Mary Keating (Halifax)) and friends. September 30, 2003 SPRY, Alexander J. - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital on Monday, September 29, 2003, age 75. Predeceased by loving parents Mary and Edward Spry and sister Gloria. Left with fond and loving memories, one son Edward, four daughters: Teresa (Ed Ryan), Patricia (Paul), Bernadette Wiseman, and Margie; sisters: Mary Spry and Kay Spry; brother: Jack; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family, friends and neighbors, special granddaughter Deanna and great-grandson Jeremy. Husband and best friend to Mary Margaret (Margie McCormack); father of Jacqueline, NS, Cathy Ann (Larry Folmes), Manitoba, John, NL, Trevor, ON; brother to Betty Power, Mary McCormack, Maureen Mallard, Geraldine O`Rourke, Patricia Holden, all of NL, Gerry MacNeil, ON, Gordon, ON, Charles, NL, Ronald, ON, Thomas, NL, Alfred, ON; grandfather and poppy to nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Dad served with the Black Watch (RHR), RCR, and PPCLI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children`s Help Line. Mass will be held Thursday, October 2, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick`s Church, Digby, NS. Reception to follow in church hall. September 30, 2003 YETMAN, Clara - Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, September 27, 2003, Clara Yetman of Coley`s Point, aged 84 years. Predeceased by husband Frank, sister Mildred (Reuben) Mercer, brothers Victor (Annie) Russell, Llewellyn (Frances) Russell and also brothers Allan &Jackie deceased in childhood. Leaving to mourn: sons David, Darrell (Patti), Derek (Corrine), Neil (Ruby). Daughters: Shirley (Wally) Ballantyne, Yvonne (Harold) Wells, Carol (Ray) Parmentier.
